Autumnal Fruit Oatmeal

Yield: 1-2 people

Ingredients:
1 c dried oats
2 clementines, pieced and halved
1/3 c dried cranberries
3 T brown sugar
½ tsp almond extract
2 tsp maple syrup
salt

Bring water with a dash of salt to a boil and then add oats. Stir frequently for creamy texture. Once the water starts to cook down and the oats have softened, add cranberries and brown sugar. Once most of the cooking has completed introduce maple syrup and almond extract to the pot and mix well. If you desire the clementines to take on a peach-like consistency, add to the pot now as well. If not, add clementines right before the oatmeal is nearly down cooking.
